The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development in India. It is the CBSE board affiliated central government schools which were dispersed all over India. KVC comprises over 1,000 schools in India and three abroad. The system came into being in 1963 under the name “central schools” and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Its objective is to educate children of the India Defense Services personnel who are often posted to the remote location.
