About University of Kerala:
University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram was set up in 1937. Earlier it was called University of Travancore which ultimately came to be the University of Kerala. The university was developed by a promulgation of the Maharaja of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma that was likewise the initial Chancellor of the University. The University had 3 schools found in 3 different parts of the State viz. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and also Kozhikode.
In 1968, the College Centre at Kozhikode became a complete -fledged College covering the universities as well as departments situated in Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode as well as Kannur Districts of Kerala.
